A Study of the Efficacy of Emazon^(¢ç) in Obstetrics & Gynecological Fields

Abstract
The clinical efficacy of Emazon¢ç was evaluated in 120 patients from Sep. to Dec. 1985 at Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Kyung Hee University Hospital.
Among 120 patients, placebo group was 40 cases, Emazon¢ç 300mg administrated group was 40 cases, & Emazon¢ç 600mg administrated group was 40 cases.
The hypothetical score concerned to efficacy of analgesic & anti-inflammatory action
was from zero to three as none; slight, fair & severe symptoms.
The sum of score was composed of 4 parts as spontaneous pain, pressure pain, swelling, & reddening respectively as compared to pre-&. post administration of Emazon¢ç.
The result were has follows.
1. The mean value score of clinical symptom after administration for 3 days were 1.73¡¾ 0.75 in Emazon¢ç 300mg, 0.63¡¾0.71 in Emazon¢ç 600mg & 2.68¡¾1.29 in placebo group. Groups of Emazon¢ç administration were significantly superior as compared to placebo, group (p<0.05).
2. In group of Emazon¢ç 300mg administrated, the analgesic & anti-inflammatory efficacy was markedly effective in 12.5%, moderately effective in 40.0% In group of Emazon¢ç 600mg administrated, while 50.0%, 30.0% & in placebo group 2.5 %, 17.5%, respectively.
3. Side effects were seen in 1 case of Emazon¢ç 300mg administrated group, and 1 case of Emazon¢ç 600mg administrated group. The 2 cases have only slight loss of appetite.
Thus, Emazon¢ç seems to be markedly effective in the fields of Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Emazon¢ç 600mg seems to be adequate as daily dose.
